Generally, it is more objective to judge the severity of the rails based on the amount of wear of the wheel rims. Abrasion of the wheel flanges larger than 1 mm is a serious rail and must be repaired.
Usually there is a certain gap between the wheel flange and the side of the track. Under normal operating conditions, they will not touch. However, sometimes the wheel does not run at the center of the track, which results in the phenomenon that the wheel rim is in contact with the side of the track (friction).
The adverse consequences caused by wheel rails are shortening the life of wheel forgings. Under normal circumstances, the wheels of medium-level (A4-A5) cranes can be used for more than 15 years; the wheels of heavy-class (A6 ~ A8) and metallurgical cranes can be used for about 8 years. However, for some heavy rail cranes, the wheels can only be used for 1-2 years or even months. Speed up track wear. The lateral force generated by the stern track can shift the track position until it becomes unusable. Increase running resistance. Increase the power consumption of the motor and the transmission load of the mechanism. The loading condition of the plant deteriorated.
The degree of crane wheel forgings can be divided into mild rails, moderate rails and severe rails.
Mild derailment: The controller starts slowly in the first gear, and the inertial running distance is short after stopping. Moderate track: The controller does not start in the first gear and starts slowly in the second gear. When stopping, it sometimes runs without inertia, the rim wears quickly, and there is curling. Severe derailment: The second gear of the controller does not start, and the vehicle runs backward within 10m, the car body skew reaches the maximum value, and the derailment starts.
